« LOCATION CHANGE - FRIDAY NIGHT | Home | Volunteers Needed »

Just a quick update…

By PodcampDC Organizers | April 18, 2008

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to send out a quick note about some important things for PodcampDC that kicks off tonight!

1. Due to a capacity issue, the Friday night social meetup will be at the Capitol City Brewing Company on Capitol Hill, not downtown.

Friday Night Location Change:
2 Massachusetts Avenue NE
Washington, DC
202-842-BEER

The nearest stop is Union Station on the RED Line - the PodCamp DC Guide has been updated with new maps and directions for your convenience. http://www.christopherspenn.com/podcampdcguide.pdf

***** There are no location or schedule changes for Saturday. *****

If you are coming to PodCamp DC with friends or colleagues, please be sure to tell them about this important location change update!

2. The easiest way to get around DC is the Metro Subway system. All of the Podcamp events are a quick walk to the one of the stops on the Metro System.  For maps, directions using the Metro System, visit the Metro website at http://www.wmata.com/

3. If you MUST drive (highly recommend you utilize the Metro system), there is free parking at the Rosslyn Spectrum Theatre on Saturday.  There are limited places to park near Capitol City Brewery and Sine` Irish Pub. Please make sure to plan accordingly.

4. If you are not able to attend any of the PodcampDC events, please let us know for planning purposes. You can email us at info@podcampdc.org

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me. See you tonight!

About PodCamp

According to Google’s define feature: “PodCamp is an international network of unconferences. ” This one is in Washington DC and takes place on April 18th - 20th.

According to Wikipedia an unconference is: “A conference where the content of the sessions is created and managed by the participants, generally day-by-day during the course of the event, rather than by one or more organizers in advance of the event. ”
